Inspired by the Cat's Walk in Cali, Colombia, where each cat's girlfriend sculpture along the river is decorated by a different artist, I've created a new 3D Ordinals feature that some artists and on-chain content creators will love, others will hate, and many NFT marketplaces will take time to understand. You can now share (transfer or sell) a collection cover between digital artists, and the artist who owns the cover in their wallet will be able to add additional items to the collection, all tied to the original collection ID. Enjoy.
Only possible on BSV and first announced on Treechat.!

Thats a cool concept, and something I never would have thought of!
I'd been thinking about this feature for weeks, but I felt a bit pressured to implement it because @maya moved his collection covers before adding items, which is problematic without identifying the cover's txid origin. I think it definitely opens up artistic possibilities for on-chain content creators.
More and moar incredibly clever and powerful the more I think about it...
The site in general is looking amazing!
Am working on a collection now... finished with the primary piece and testing the on-chain bits... then will commence making the unique originals =)
Will have to think about how to utilize the new tool above... maybe a collab with @treefiddy ..?!
Nice innovation and cool feature!
I'm thinking of creating a collection of 3D cubes, each one decorated in the artist's unique style, once they're handed over for safekeeping, and the use of the collection cover. I don't know what will come of it, what exchanges and collaborations will arise, but this definitely opens up artistic and commercial possibilities.
I just made an Art Gallery collection ;)
I like this Cat: https://3dordi.io/ordinal/9aabd5bb09bd0dc8cd3a47c6c88b03b2b2469e503cf89c94ec8ec5ec53aef1f5_0
So items can be added to a collection indefinitely?
Yes, the holder of the collection cover controls the number of items in the collection or if the cover is burned no more items can be included.
I didn't realise that about burning the cover. Would that make the collection blank though?
that was also my concerns, but @J1 Pelaez told me that the cover is in the metadata of the collection items and said he would test it all. he probably found out that no item can be added be the cover remains... right? @J1 Pelaez
I'm going to hold off on the burning🤣
I already tested burning the cover of a collection I minted as a test, and as you can see, the items are not lost or unlinked from the original collection ID, because it is Onchain information.
