There is absolutely no reason, why someone should trust google, meta or any of those other big tech companies or crypto exchanges about the metrics they are publishing.
Except for one reason: blind trust.
And given the their past history and actions, I would say that the odds of them moderating and censoring in favor of certain narratives is much more likely than them doing nothing or being neutral.
You can't trust their centralized data.
