I have a weird way of looking at this. I think the reason the mental well being piece is tied to gut biome health is because there are trillions of ‘others’ in the form of living bacteria, etc. inside of us that we have a relationship with (literally). So the more you get right with yourself - you could call it self-love - you’ll have alignment with the ‘others’ inside you. You can take all the probiotics you want but the ultimate key is in your equanimity with Self. [ not medical advice, but definitely life advice 😀 ]
