!nb The only thing sustainable about sustainability is corporate pocket-lining.
!nb There used to be a time I just ripped a freezer bag and I was done. Now, I have to rip it, gently, like an 90 year old in order not to end up with teared bag. Sometimes 2 even!
There used to be a time that I could wear some one-time-use, disposable gloves to get my work done in the kitchen or the garden. Now I have to fit them on so carefully to be sure that they are not teared apart before I even blink an eye.
There used to be a time I could wear my trainers, slippers or sandals in any environment and any weather. Now, I should try to avoid wearing them in muddy terrain or heavy raining weather or they start falling apart after the 5th wear!
Sustainable they call this?!?
What I see is that I am actually generating more waste then ever before!!!
Conclusion: The only thing sustainable about sustainability is corporate pocket-lining.
!nb Lovely, there are times I could use a third hand while doing some odd jobs around the house.
