I've, at times, related the idea of computer processing in terms of parallel & serial (third-state machinery, which we haven't yet come close to cracking) to signal processing hoping that would make it a little easier to understand through illustration, but what I found is that people that don't know much about sound engineering many unable to readily bridge the gap. And I don't relate them as a one: one ratio, but I'm just another real BitCoin edge case anyhow
