@45927 might be the first person I've seen on Twetch who could change the cultural dynamics of Twetch enough to make it worth my time again.

In what way?
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
A few factors.
First, awareness. Awareness of what I would call fostering a culture, as well as the implications of that.
Second, existing following. If many follow @45927 to Twetch, it will create a real sub-culture in Twetch.
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
Right now, Twetch is highly uniform in terms of its culture. I've criticized this in the past, too.
It's also self-perpetuating in that culture, as it draws others into it.
Twetch needs at least one more sufficiently different culture in order to grow.
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
With two distinct cultures, this creates room for those cultures to interact, which is the seed for new kinds of interactions to form, and it lowers the barriers to the development of a third sub-culture.
Over time, homogenization will diminish this way.
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
If the Twetch founders see how important this is, they'll immediately shift gears to stay out of @45927's way, while letting the currently dominant culture live on its own, and they'll start directly attracting a third sub-culture into Twetch.
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
With three healthy sub-cultures, Twetch will become something far greater than it is today, and past that point, they'd have to work to stifle their user base in order to reverse that course (see also, Twitter, Facebook, etc. with censorship, etc.)
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
People are yearning for a place like Twetch, but they need to have a value proposition to join...
The tech, the platform? That's not the value proposition.
The people are.
At least, that's how it is in today's design of Twetch...
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
I don't see how they transition from what Twetch is today into something where it's not the people on the platform who are the value proposition, but maybe they've got something up their sleeves.
NFTs aren't it, I'll tell you that, though.

Perhaps you missed there is clear evidence it's a scam. @6345 found the sockpuppet accounts on Twitter with identical tweets and tens of thousands of fake followers.
If you knew this and still defend "her", that's one hell of a hill to die on.
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
...
I'm talking past everyone, aren't I?
I haven't defended anyone. Hell, it really doesn't matter who this individual is, or if they're scamming. That's not my point.
Maybe this individual is not the one I want them to be. But my point stands.
1AjUnNeTbLY5rkmyGXMjBhZwfjjp9jKqin (24100) ·
Can't see how an additional scam-culture would foster the better Twetch you talk about.
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
Then stop being a low information fool and start reading what I'm actually saying.
Good lord...
You're latching onto literally the least important part of what I'm saying.
Start listening.
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
Btw, did nobody see the word "might" on my original post?
What does that word even mean? Anyone know?
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
This is why I don't spend time here.
Even otherwise intelligent, interesting people turn into low information zombies here.
It's a homogeneous culture of making everything a joke.
Well, hurray. That means you're a joke, too.
1AjUnNeTbLY5rkmyGXMjBhZwfjjp9jKqin (24100) ·
Man, this is crypto. If you find them handling sock puppets, perhaps don't give them the benefit of doubt.
1GastPGWdufYW6GCiqV5unLEagP8ixDNVo (6758) ·
Dogecoin is a joke too
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
Is that what I did?
Tell me, where did I indicate knowledge of the sock puppet accusation, let alone evidence in support of the accusation?
When have I *ever* given reason to believe I'd support a scammer?
Stop being an idiot. You're better than that.

I followed her, but she didn’t follow me back. I don’t want to see things here as purely transactional, but how is that fostering a culture, if the conversation is one way?
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
Your point being?
1GastPGWdufYW6GCiqV5unLEagP8ixDNVo (6758) ·
Comedy has value and crypto is an irrational market so any appeal to sensibility are opposed to the very nature of what crypto is.
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
That... Isn't how this works at all.
And, look at the thread. There's more here than just the original post.
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
...
19bAVH93i5tBxL7ADWK6wYQTsfNk7ZjAnd (15598) ·
I understand. But my question was sincere. I’d hate to see Twetch turn into another Twitter, where influencers work to amass a following but then don’t have real conversations with their followers.
19bAVH93i5tBxL7ADWK6wYQTsfNk7ZjAnd (15598) ·
One of the great things about Twetch is that most of the people I’ve engaged here have been responsive.
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
The entire dynamic should be different for Twetch. I agree. But to get there, the homogenization of the culture needs to stop. It doesn't scale, socially speaking.
1MsXzcCMhFUD19izWuUqAvU2RkBM81dstx ·
How can you say this while only following 88 people?
There are already little subgroups forming, you might just not see them.
19bAVH93i5tBxL7ADWK6wYQTsfNk7ZjAnd (15598) ·
Group chats are a great example of how this is happening. Maybe there should be a group chat directory.
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
Do you see those buttons on the top of the feed? There's more than one of them to choose from.
And the existence of periphery subgroups doesn't fit the description of subculture.
1MsXzcCMhFUD19izWuUqAvU2RkBM81dstx ·
Yes I see them, I believe these subgroups will turn into/split off into/ expand into subcultures when things scale though.
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
That's not how these things tend to work.
Sure, if people are forced to be here, it will develop that way, but it's more likely they'll leave the platform. Easier for them.
This isn't high school. Cliques don't work the same way here.
1DE7ALMwnuqQUPWwCUX5StJy4BfGKoQfFH ·
group chat = try before you buy paid for by bitcoiners sponsored to no-coiners. viral necessity.
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
Yes, group chats are a good thing... But, they aren't the platform as a whole.

i liked your question , and the answer is not realistic
15YXRhqbHawbH49aYzfiww2UQ4Cz82GL4t (622) ·
It's not realistic to develop a non-homogeneous culture here?
Or am I misunderstanding your statement?
14DMCu1PHRW7CT1jnQBWzwwWYd3V1DBAJw ·
I agree about the culture., I meant the question is: What's special about her? What's her specialty? Is she artist? Or ?? I know great talented girls and boy here that don't get this recognition
14DMCu1PHRW7CT1jnQBWzwwWYd3V1DBAJw ·
I succeeded here because people invested in me. Her idea to bring users here to extract value from them hasn't shown to work
