@451 I have been an insomniac as long as I remember, back to when I was about 3 years old or so, and some memories even younger. I don’t think parents really realize the impact of watching TV while the kids are around can have on a child.

I remember movies that I was way too young to have watched back then and they sometimes just didn’t realize I was awake because I pretended to sleep when I couldn’t sleep, and would peek around the corners to watch TV.
I try to control the media that my kids access while I butt heads with my wife about it because it is so easy to just let Netflix do the parenting. I cut off most media to my kids now because they learned to access just about anything online.
When your kids start downloading apps from the App Store by themselves it’s time to change the passcode on your phone I told my wife, who is like a newborn when it comes to security.
I can understand, i haven't been blessed with children yet, but I imagine when i do i will likely do the exact same, i remember mom watching maximum overdrive, and the guy in the ditch got to me for years
