Solid prediction.
I like your profile pic. Twetch truly is a safe haven for wojaks.
Haha, no doubt! The Chan has been completely overrun, Twetch feels like a time machine back to better times on the net.
True, very refreshing. The amount of morons now on /biz/ is astounding.
Also, check our user ID's, we joined around the same time. Probably with 48 hours of each other or so.
I can't stand /biz/ anymore since the '17 bullrun. How long have you been involved in crypto? It's pretty cool your mom introduced you to BSV haha.
Yeah interesting, I think Twetch was only under a month or so old at that time.
Oh sorry, you introduced her!
I was aware of Bitcoin back in 2013, but didn't give it due diligence at the time. I really got interested at the end of 2017. Messed around with alts. Found BSV right after the split, and was one of the earliest supporters.
What about you?
Ah yeah, similar story really. Looked into BTC when all the Silk Road stuff was going on, but had no idea about the REAL tech and usability it was meant to possess.
2017 is when I began doing my own research and finding the way down the rabbit hole.
Yup, same. Took some time to realize that the space was filled with 30 Greg Maxwell sock puppet accounts, and other frauds.
Also, I've noticed a trend in social media. When a soon-to-be successful platform is new, it's usually filled with a better crowd. As time goes by.. the idiots find their way onto the site, and it degrades in quality.
I've witnessed that exact erosion throughout /b/, /biz/ and /pol/... Except 4Chan isn't particularly new at all, just a fringe network that used to be too 'geeky' for the mainstream.
What I'm seeing is a shift in in perception of internet users...
...Masses are feeling comfortable with the open, corporate internet and are more likely to explore. Also, a fusion of internet culture and accessibility has formed interlinking between fringe networks and the masses.
Think about where a lot of memes grew.
