This is such a coincidence! Me and my best friend taking part in protests this month x

Brilliant, I agree police enforcing the lockdown are on the wrong side and we should disobey it.

Twetch ·

Well isn't that ironic.

1/ Key point to highlight:
1) I didn’t go home that weekend to see my family because I attended the protest and they are high risk.
2) I’ve already had Covid and been vaccinated so it’s unlikely I’d pass it on nor get it from anyone in the crowd

2/

3) we were having our rights stripped from us. The U.K. government was trying to pass a Bill taking away the right to protest. We HAD to protest.

Twetch ·

This was protesting a bill that was trying to be pushed by our HO sec Priti Patel. My point being, I’m arguing the vaccines are necessary, and that lockdowns do work, having critically looked at the science. I’m not a blind believer.

Twetch ·

I agree, nobody should shove a choice down your throat, nor inject you against your will. I’m anti vaccine passport for this reason. It’s a tricky line to draw. But there needs to be discussion, you can’t just put your fingers in your ears and go la,la,la

Twetch ·

You missed the joke. I was joking. You are holding a sign that says you won't do what they tell you, but you have a mask on, as they told you. That's the irony.

Twetch ·

The mask is a choice :) there were lots of people attending without masks, we all got along dandy x

Twetch ·

I thought the joke was that I’m defending lockdowns and still attending protests x

Twetch ·

I'm all for discussion. We have common ground with no Vax passport at least.

Twetch ·

at the end we are all slaves of the state. democracy is a nice pretty farce
