I have no words to describe what I am feeling: seeing the people you live alongside every day trapped under rubble—screaming, crying, calling for help, desperately searching for their families and their little children; seeing how we have all lost everything. In a country like Venezuela, no amount of effort seems to matter; no matter what you do, it is practically impossible to recover from a loss like this. The government is unprepared for a situation of this magnitude, and survivors remain trapped under the debris—it has been nearly 24 hours, and they still haven't been pulled out. We weren't home when the earthquake started, and that saved my grandmother's life and mine; we left with some neighbors' relatives for another city. We lost all our possessions, but we are alive. They say it lasted only two minutes, but those two minutes felt like a lifetime; in those two minutes, I lost almost everyone I lived with daily. Never in my life had I felt the earth move like that, nor had I ever seen everything around me collapse. To all the friends, acquaintances, and neighbors who lost their lives here: I hope you rest in peace, and may God give strength to all the survivors who lost their loved ones. I am trying to help however I can by bringing food and water to the hardest-hit areas; I will share some of the photos and videos I took while leaving the neighborhood, as well as photos of the supplies we have been gathering to take to the people who need them.

I am absolutely heartbroken reading this. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain and horror you are going through. Thank you for having the courage to share your story, even in the midst of such immense grief
Glad to hear you’re okay @Ziomary, but so sorry for the utter devastation the earthquake has caused your country.
Unimaginable what you and your country is going through???
First the financial economic catastrophe, then hurricanes & floods and now earthquakes??? It seems not to stop.
I am happy to read that you and your (close) beloved ones are (somehow) fine. Our prayers are with you and your country and I truly hope that many, even in miraculous ways, may be saved!
