Users wish to have an option to reduce the delay after swipe, so they can pay at a faster rate.
I suggest a drop-down list (MB settings page) where it can be adjusted: instant/2s/5s. Risk would be explained with a warning for short delays.

User activated by choice, yes. I've used the cancel to post a few times already, so it needs to be a default that is optimal and just set forever.

The delay post-swipe is artificial. The transaction is for the most part pre-computed before the swipe occurs. Post-swipe the TX process takes less than half a second.
You can see what happens by opening your web browser Dev Tools (Network section).
After talking with moneybutton, it’s likely that will use the API directly and control the experience on Twetch - next week you’ll get a better look at how that will start to look.
