1979... it's like a last wave of resistance before something terrible broke through in the 80s turning everything into a clown and freak show. Sure, cocaine was a part of it, but can that alone explain all of it? The sudden death of style, the commercialization of everything, the bad taste? The hair?
Either there was an alien invasion in the early 80s or communism 2.0 won in the 60s covertly, and dialed it up and reached its peak in the 80s.
