Yesterday, while harvesting Lettuce leaves, I noticed some white foam on one of the leaves, like someone spitted on it.
After a search on the Internet I figured out that it is spittlebug foam, or cuckoo spit which these nymphs create to protect themselves from predators and dehydration.

After I blew away the foam, indeed some small bug appeared. An older farmer told me that it is the embryo of a Cicada but I am not sure. So if you know, let me know.
