Georges Lemaître, father of the Big Bang Theory. Also a Catholic priest. Among the greatest scientific minds of the century, he is a clear example of scientific progress within the Church, while also believing in separation between the two.
Good one.

modern tech: richard stallman and linus torvalds
What's Stallman's greatest contribution?
broadly speaking, GNU. I dont know off hand, specific programs byond that.
Thats his contribution to the *tech* though.
For me personally, his greatest contribution is his warnings about closed source tech and how you can work around those panopticons.
Interesting. Too bad about him and Epstein though, eh?

Newton is always named as a beast, of course, but it should be understood that he was a conspiracy theorist who wrote 500,000 words in his alchemy notebook on his attempts to fabricate gold to break corrupt banks. He tried to be Satoshi Nakamoto!
