1/2 Many talk about data being stored on the blockchain forever, but this is optional for miners, since op return data does not affect the block header. Hence miners are free to prune op return data. Did I get that correctly?

2/2 I propose a solution: some sort of smart contract where users promise to pay x bsv every y months for z years. Or a one-time-fee that pays for x amount of storage time guarantee. This could help with blockain bloating and stale data.
