If the owner of the original digital information gets too greedy, you can get the information from another source.
But as long as the access to certain information is not too expensive I would probably prefer getting it from the original source.
Only then can you be sure, that you have the original version without any distortions included.
I believe there will come a point, where "getting information from the original source/identity" will be very valuable and has certaina advantages.
