I watched some of the recent Babbage video posted on here talking about how to onboard users
If someone went to Metanet and found movie streaming, music and Treechat I think they'd go there everyday and tell their friends about it
It feels like success is hiding behind a paper thin wall but as yet that wall is too thick for millions of people to enter

If BSV Blockchain is actually any good it should be able to serve up Movies, Music, Books, Audio Books, Blogs and a vast library of information stored on-chain better than the existing infrastructure
The stuff that people want
If it can't then what is it trying to solve or improve ?

$2.6 Trillion dollar MCAP of fugazi

BitCoin anything but fugazi. It solves all issues-like settlements-instantaneously, 0Conf with scaling for security & identity, to micro tx (1Sats &c.) UI streamlines with integration. One paragraph, lots of man hours & experiment. BitCoin, immutable

if you build it, they will come doesn't work. I have to fight for every new user, even bsv people. after copa it was brutal, but we're slowly thawing. it's working, we're growing, but it's slow. the exponential starts out slow, but then it pops.

the best thing you can be doing is just telling people about how you're using treechat on other platforms. when i talk about it, it doesn't register the same for people bc obviously i'm going to like my own thing, but when they see others using it an enjoying, after the 5th time they see it, they'll try it, then they probably wont log back in for a while, then they'll see it again, then try it again, and stick around.

people's habits are hard to break, so repetition is key, and that's why the process is slow. im working on ways to speed it up, but it's a challenge!

as for metanet, they are not ready for adoption, their onboarding is bad. its getting better, but isnt there yet. im not casting stones, treechat onboarding is not perfect either. its a hard problem that we're constantly iterating on

“‘You build it they will come’ doesn’t work” I agree with @metamitya.
People need to see other people using it. Onboarding is slow but content exists like a time capsule. At some random point in the future someone will stumble upon it and the trail you’ve left behind feels like an undiscovered new world for them.
We don’t know when this will hit that exponential curve but when it does it’s important people find people using it!

It is evident that the Metanet client, the BSV browser, or apps featuring BRC-100 wallets are technologically more advanced than platforms such as @treechat, @3dordi , or metanet.page. However, there is a fundamental business principle: being either too early or too late in adopting a technology often leads a venture to failure. For instance, eight years ago, I made a substantial investment to tokenize Colombian emeralds on the Ethereum blockchain; it resulted in a total financial loss for me. While it left me with valuable experience and knowledge, it failed to achieve adoption—people simply did not understand it at the time. Similarly, I believe that Project Babbage’s products are at least five or eight years ahead of their time. In contrast, products like Treechat’s chat service or 3DOrdi’s NFT marketplace—which offer social interaction, engagement, and direct payments using satoshis—are much easier to grasp for anyone who has ever owned a cryptocurrency wallet or an NFT. I contend that the timing is now perfect for digital natives with some blockchain experience to flock to BSV en masse, given its scalability and high capacity. Later on—once people come to understand the risks associated with reusing the same Bitcoin address multiple times—they will gradually migrate toward products featuring BRC-100 wallets, and we ( @metamitya) will have to adapt on the fly.

Treechat’s best path forward is to ride the future price rise of BSV, get noticed by other internet companies, and ultimately be acquired.

Exactly. I don’t understand whats happening. A p2p music streaming app, a Netflix style app, a YouTube app etc. and make it easy. No subscriptions, just link ur one wallet and pay as you use, that syncs to every new app youuse (so u dont need a hundred wallets)
Im not an app developer, but Im about to teach myself cause it seems like these apps will never come at this rate
